Feast your eyes on an international blue 1970 Corvette Stingray! One of the advantages of living in Mosaic District is that you see cool cars all the time. At least once a week it seems I send out a collection of cool cars in text messages to my friends. This week I’ve decided to feature this absolutely stunning 1970 Corvette Stingray (Sting Ray from ’63-’67) in International Blue. This color just looks amazing at any angle in any light. I would love to see it make a comeback. If I had to pick one car to represent America, the C3 Corvette Stingray would be it. Sure the newer Corvettes are running with Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s but nothing is quite as cool as a late-60’s Corvettes, especially if it has side pipes!
Bourbon and Beer
Kentucky is home of the Corvette and the equally cool Corvette Museum. If you haven’t been I would highly suggest it. Kentucky is also home to the magic that is bourbon. One cool thing you can do with the leftover bourbon casks is make beer called barrel-aged beers. Years ago my friend’s mother introduced me to Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, which was my first barrel-aged beer. While a bit strong at first, it offers a very unique taste. One more thing about Kentucky, I would suggest visiting at least a part of the Bourbon trail. Years ago a friend and I visited Buffalo Trace and you can smell the Bourbon from the highway, it’s amazing!
Speaking of whiskey, it looks like The MacMillan Whiskey Room is coming right along in Mosaic District. I have seen the signs up for a few months not but there has been a recent flurry of activity. While I am more of a beer drinker, I am definitely going to have to stop by and give this place a try!
